Winners of 2006 Announced at Nobel Monument Inscription Ceremony, June 12

In conjunction with the Nobel Monument Inscription Ceremony on June 12, the winners of the 2006
The Laureates of Tomorrow – Nobel Essay Contest, were announced by Ambassador Ulf Hjertonsson, Consul General of Sweden in New York.

Ms. Natasha Plotkin

Essay title: "Richard Ernst and the Transformation of the NMR Spectroscopy"

Mr. Avishai Don
Winner Medicine
SAR High School, The Bronx
Essay title: "Karl Landsteiner: Three Simple Letters that Save Millions"

Runners-up of 2006 are: Margarita Levin (2nd Runner Up, Physics, Staten Island Technical High School); Anurag Panda (3rd Runner Up, Physics, Midwood High School at Brooklyn College in Brooklyn); Quiye (David) Yang (2nd Runner Up, Chemistry, Bronx High School of Science); Mary Attardo (3rd Runner Up, Chemistry, Staten Island Technical School in Staten Island); Sonal Noticewala (2nd Runner Up, Medicine, Midwood High School at Brooklyn College in Brooklyn); Diana Greenwald (3rd Runner Up, Medicine, Horace Mann School in the Bronx)
