2006 Grand Prize Trip to Stockholm, Sweden

Three New York City high school juniors joined the six American Nobel Prize winners in Stockholm, Sweden, during the Nobel Week Festivities from December 5 – 12, 2006. Exchanging their backpacks and sneakers for the formal attire of a Laureate, the trio experienced firsthand the excitement of Nobel week.

Gena Rozenberg (Bronx High School of Science), Natasha Plotkin (Hunter College High School) and Avishai Don (SAR High School) participated in the program which included attending lectures by the Nobel Laureates in the science fields, the Prize Award Ceremony and the exclusive Nobel Banquet, where guests included King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden. The winners also experienced the beautiful and historic city of Stockholm and met Swedish students for an international exchange of ideas and fun at Kungsholmens High School.
